Labs
The experimental center of School of Shipping and Naval Architecture was set up in 2006, and now consists of 3 labs, namely Ship and Ocean Engineering Lab, Navigation Lab and Marine and Electrical Engineering lab. It has assumed the tasks of course experiments, research experiments, practical training teaching for the undergraduates and post graduates, as well as the practical operation training and assessment for marine majors and social crew applicants. Now, it have over 1500 sets of equipment, with the total value up to 78 million RMB.
Ship and Ocean Engineering Lab includes one circulating water tank for ship model test, one wind wave current comprehensive test pool, one ship structure lab, one ship numerical calculation center, etc.
Navigation Lab includes one ship handling simulator room, one marine instrument laboratory, one water training center, a teaching and training ship, etc.
Marine and Electrical Engineering lab includes one marine simulator room, one marine power lab, one marine electric and electronic lab, etc.
